If I had a Time Machine...Part 1

This is a difficult decision to make. But here goes. I couldn't decide whether I would go backwards or forwards. I finally came to the conclusion that if I had the power to do so, I would travel back in time to witness the best moments of history... theatre wise, that is. This is not a top ten list, it's just all of the ones that come to mind.

  1. Pink Floyd & The Who (New Year’s Eve, 1966, Manchester) Pink Floyd with The Who (New Year's Eve, 1966, Manchester)
This would be so much fun! I wish I had been alive to see this, mainly because admission was on one pound!

2. The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show (1964)
This would be amazing! This moment changed the world of music FOREVER, in my opinion.
The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show (1964)
Laurette Taylor as Amanda Wingfield in Glass Menagerie – in Chicago. BEFORE it came to New York.
Marlon Brando in the premiere of Streetcar Named Desire on Broadway.
The premiere of the first production of Oklahoma on Broadway. A revolution in the American musical. People were aware of it as it was happening, which is what is so amazing. The bar had been raised.
